We have just celebrated our 49th birthday and as you know, with age comes wisdom so we thought we would pick our top tips for Africa travel this year.
We have been lucky enough to experience a whole range of diverse African countries, with all levels of accommodation and experiences that will stay in our memories forever! This has not only fuelled our passion for Africa, but allowed us to really hone our Africa knowledge.

Cape to Kruger Overland Safari

I've just returned from an overland trip through South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe - what an experience!
The people were so welcoming and accommodating, the vehicle was spacious and comfy and the food was fresh and tasted incredible. It's a great option for those that want to see a good cross section of Africa, at a great price but without compromising on value! I highly recommend it!

Highlights of East Africa

I love this small group tour! It touches on all the 'must sees' in East Africa, with a cross section of national parks and game reserves.
If there are only 2 passengers booked on then it will still depart, and you have a more exclusive tour this way. If you have a bit more cash to splash then I would highly recommend staying an additional night at Satao Elerai and flying to the Masai Mara.

Namibia Self Drive Safari

I experienced a self-drive in Namibia a couple of years ago and would highly recommend it. I felt completely safe and loved the freedom it gave me to see and do what I wanted to.
Not only is this is a safe option but it's also a brilliant way to keep down costs AND you can travel at your own pace, stopping to take in the wonders whenever the mood takes you!

The Great North Road

Experience the wilds of Botswana on this mobile camping safari. The staff are what made this trip stand out above the rest; they were just so personable, professional and knowledgeable. Our guide was wonderful and thanks to him we had numerous wildlife sightings.
The camp was made up of comfortable Meru style tents with an ensuite bush shower and loo - all ready for us when we arrived. Camping in the middle of the bush, surrounded by wildlife and nature was truly amazing!
