Olakira offers a modern take on the vintage charm of an East African safari under canvas, without abandoning too many creature comforts. With just eight en-suite tents, Olakira ensures an intimate and authentic wilderness experience. In the dry months of winter, Olakira Mara River enjoys some of the best views of the herds migrating out of Kenya across the treacherous Mara River. By November, Olakira swiftly follows to witness the incredible calving in the great grassy plains of the southern Serengeti.

Trip itinerary

Day 1

On arrival at Arusha Airport you will be met and assisted on your flight to the Serengeti National Park. (D)

Accommodation: 2 nights Olakira Migration Camp.

Like the wildebeest that are the stars of the Serengeti Annual Migration, Olakira Camp is a wanderer; a luxurious under-canvas camp that moves with the seasons, forever following the herds to ensure you have a front-row seat to the greatest show on earth. Whether it’s at the river crossings of the northern Serengeti or on the great grassy plains of the south, the intimate Olakira Camp ensures the best of the Serengeti is always right on your doorstep.
