Let nature surround you on this 9 Day tour that takes in the breathtaking Victoria Falls, a river cruise in Chobe National Park and the great wilderness areas of the Okavango Delta.
Day 1 - Victoria Falls
Today you visit the spectacular Victoria Falls, also known by the local name of “Mosi-oa Tunya” (the smoke that thunders). While much of today is dedicated to viewing the mighty Zambezi River as it drops into the Batoka Gorge below, the bustling adventure town of Victoria Falls also offers a range of optional activities for those wanting a dose of adrenaline in the afternoon (at own expense). For the more relaxed traveller there are craft markets to explore and a delicious high tea is on offer at the Victoria Falls Hotel. Tonight we enjoy an optional dinner out, your guide will assist you to decide on the many options available.

Day 2 - Kasane
After breakfast you will travel the short distance to the Botswana border, crossing into Botswana you will set up camp on the banks of the Chobe River. (BD)
Your afternoon is set aside for exploring the Chobe National Park. You will begin your exploration in 4X4 vehicles, which allows an up close and personal experience with the many elephants that frequent the Chobe riverfront in the afternoons. The afternoon ends with a leisurely boat cruise and a meal served around the campfire.

Day 3 - Nata
Today you will leave Kasane and travel south towards Nata. Some people also call this route the “game drive route”, as you might see some wildlife while travelling through the area. Upon arrival you will be able to relax and spend some time at the lodge. If times allows there are activities available to enjoy at sunset. (BD)
Day 4 - Maun
Your journey today takes you across the northern reaches of the Makgadigadi Pans, the road from Nata to Maun is lined with majestic examples of the iconic Baobab tree and you will catch glimpses of the extensive pans that stretch out to the South. As portion of your route bisects the Nxai Pan and Makgadigadi National Parks, if you are lucky you may encounter some of the wildlife that roams this vast protected area. (BD)
Day 5 - Okavango Delta
The Okavango Delta is a unique and unusual ecosystem which sees the annual flood waters of the Okavango River fan out into the sands of the Kalahari Basin. The seasonality of the flood waters lends the Delta its ever changing character. While water levels may fluctuate the tranquillity of this wilderness area remains constant. This morning you will board your plane and take a scenic flight over the Delta to your overnight accommodation for the next two nights. (BLD)

Day 6 - Okavango Delta
A full day is set aside to enjoy the activities on offer in the Delta, while the programme of activities is flexible to accommodate the seasonal changes in water levels, you will have the opportunity to enjoy amongst other activities traditional mokoro rides, nature walks a game drive and a boat cruise. The Okavango Delta is not only a natural wonder, but represents one of the last great wilderness areas in the world today. (BLD)
Day 7 - Central Kalahari
Leaving the Delta behind this morning you will make your way to your overnight stop in the Ghanzi district in the central Kalahari. Upon arrival you will experience the very unique dancing and storytelling activity. (BD)

Day 8 - Kang
You will leave the Central Kalahari and the San community. The nomadic San are hunter-gatherers that have passed down a rich knowledge of the plants and animals that play such an important part in their lifestyle. This afternoon you will travel south on the Trans-Kalahari highway to your overnight stop in the small town of Kang, the gateway to the Kalahari. (BD)
Day 9 - End of Best of Botswana Tour
A long day awaits you as you continue your journey south to Johannesburg in South Africa. Leaving the Kalahari behind you will cross the North-West Province, arriving at Belvedere Estate in the late afternoon. All travellers are invited to join an optional traditional meal tonight; this can be booked with your guide on the day before arrival. Many great tales are shared and tonight presents an opportunity to join fellow travellers in celebrating the many wonders of African travel. (B)
