Pioneer for Change is the perfect opportunity for those who want to roll up their sleeves and personally make a difference. Spend a day at the progressive wildlife conservation facility, which is custodian to a number of orphaned, injured and vulnerable animal species. You could find yourself feeding the big cats, smaller animals, or working on ground level projects at the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre. You will be working side by side with conservationists and/or rangers whose full time job it is to protect the wildlife in South Africa. Whilst none of the work you will be doing is glamorous, this is an entirely humbling and rewarding experience.
Once the experience is complete, a “PIONEER FOR CHANGE” certificate will be issued to each participant to endorse their efforts as volunteers for the day.
In recognition of the work done by volunteers towards the HESC and animal conservation at large, you will receive the fourth night on a complimentary bases to all successful “Pioneers”.

Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre
The Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre (HESC) is living proof that people can make a difference to the long-term survival of the planet and its animal inhabitants.
HESC focuses on the conservation of rare, vulnerable and endangered animal species. Cheetah Conservation is one of its core disciplines.
The centre is actively involved in research; breeding of endangered animal species; the education of learners, students and the general public in conservation and conservation-related activities; tourism; the release and establishment of captive-bred cheetahs in the wild; the treatment and rehabilitation of wild animals in need (including poached rhinos); and anti-poaching initiatives on the reserve.
