Overland specialists, Nomad Africa Adventure Tours, have launched their small group Luxury Adventure Tours, suited for guests who prefer to travel in a small group, with a maximum of 12 passengers. Travelling in custom built 4X4 vehicles, with reclining seats, onboard toilet, reading lights, USB ports, safes and a water filtration system, this small group adventure begins in Windhoek and travels around Namibia. From game viewing in Etosha, exploring the dunes of Sossusvlei to stargazing in the Kalahari, this small group tour is perfect for those who want a sense of adventure – without the inflated price tag.
Day 1 - Etosha National Park
This morning, after meeting your crew, you pack your bags into your vehicle and set off for Etosha National Park. Arriving in the early afternoon, your game viewing experience starts immediately with a game drive to camp. After settling in to your accommodation you will have some time to experience the camp’s waterhole before departing on your night game drive in open 4X4 vehicles with the local guides through the park. Day 2 - Etosha National Park
Etosha is the venue for some of the most unique game viewing experiences in Africa. Today you have a full-day to explore the edges of Etosha Pan in search of the abundant wildlife that occurs in the park. Your truck offers an elevated platform and will spend some time at the many waterholes dotted throughout the park. Those who wish to partake in an optional night drive may do so tonight (subject to availability). (BD)

Day 3 - Brandberg/Khorixas/Twyfelfonteijn
Your final morning in Etosha ends with an early morning game drive as you make your way to the gate to exit the park. The road today leads you towards the Brandberg / Khorixas area where you will have the opportunity to view the highest mountain in Namibia, Brandberg. Known for it’s glowing colour, sometimes visible at sunset, derived from Afrikaans, Dutch and German means “Fire Mountain”. (BD)

Day 4 – Swakopmund
This morning you will enjoy a guided walk at Spitzkoppe with a local guide, for an exploration of these fascinating landforms. These massive granite formations tower 700 metres above the desert plains and the presence of rock art indicates their significance to the San people who lived here many years ago. After your walk, you head towards the coastal town of Swakopmund where you will stop enroute at the famous Welwitchia Mirabilis which is over 2,000 years old. (B)

Day 5 – Swakopmund
Today is all about exploring Swakopmund or participating in the many activities on offer in this coastal town. Not to be missed is the selection of famed coffee shops and bakeries that offer a delightful range of treats. (B)
Day 6 - Namib Naukluft National Park
It is an early start today as you leave Swakopmund and head towards the famous Namib Naukluft National Park. No visit to Namibia would be complete without a stop at the famous bakery in Solitaire, known for its apple pie – not to be missed. You will enjoy your apple pie and a wander around this one-horse town before heading to your accommodation for the next 2 nights. (BD)

Day 7 - Namib Naukluft National Park
It is a busy day today as you venture deeper into the Namib desert, starting off with a transfer into Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. After walking around and discovering this area, you will make a stop at Dune 45, the highest dune in Namibia. The brave amongst the group can climb to the top – the views will not disappoint the efforts. As you leave, you will make a short stop at Sesriem Canyon before returning to your accommodation for the night. (BD)

Day 8 – Maltahohe
You leave the wonderful Namib Desert behind you and will make your way towards Maltahohe. Today you will meet the Nama community. For thousands of years, the Khoisan peoples of South Africa and southern Namibia maintained a nomadic life, the Khoikhoi as pastoralists and the San people as hunter-gatherers. The Nama are a Khoikhoi group. This afternoon you join a sundowner nature drive to enjoy a true Namibia sunset. (B)

Day 9 – Kalahari
You make your way towards the Kalahari, one of the most beautiful parts of Namibia and a must see. Enjoy the beauty of the deep red dunes colours. You might spot several types of antelope’s like the Oryx. Maybe you can even spot a meerkat. (BD)
Day 10 – Kalahari
Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Kalahari today as you participate in the various optional activities on offer. Today is for you to enjoy the area. One of the many highlights of the Kalahari is the star gazing and tonight you get the opportunity to view the stars, planets, clusters and depending on the time of month, the moon. (BD)

Day 11 – Windhoek
After breakfast we bid farewell to the red sand of the Kalahari and make our way back to Windhoek, where we will stay just outside the city. Tonight presents itself with a final opportunity to soak in the Namibian sunset on an evening sunset drive with sundowners. (BD)

Day 12 - End of Namibian Explorer
Today our tour comes to an end after breakfast. Take the day to book a city tour of Windhoek or relax at the lodge until your departure flight. (B)
