The camp also provides the perfect place to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the plains and its prolific wildlife and sunsets.

Day 2 – Tarangire
Day 3 – Ngorongoro
This morning after breakfast at the lodge you will travel to an authentic Maasai Boma for a glimpse into the distinctive Maasai Culture whilst in Tanzania. (BLD)
Preservation of their proud traditions has set the Maasai apart from other indigenous groups in Tanzania and embodies a side of Africa with which few outsiders can contact. We offer guests a memorable opportunity to interactively experience the Maasai way of life through an excursion to a traditional boma where guests will be able to participate in a variety of unique cultural activities and encouraged to delve as deep into the experience as possible!
In the afternoon you will continue to Gibb’s Farm for lunch and then have the opportunity to enjoy some of the farm activities including harvesting, coffee roasting and animal feeding. After this you will continue onto your camp.
Lemala Ngorongoro is intimately set in a delightful ancient acacia forest close to the rim of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. As it is located next to the quiet Lemala crater access road on the eastern side, a key advantage of staying at Lemala Ngorongoro is the quick and easy drive down on to the crater floor in the morning; Lemala guests usually have an hour’s head start over others descending via the far busier Seneto crater access road on the western rim. Game drives from camp may start as early as 06h15 and guests can be down among Ngorongoro’s abundant wildlife on the floor within 10-15 minutes – crucial for photographers who demand the best light conditions. Escorted walks are also available into the forest and along the crater rim with an armed ranger and Masai guide.
Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp has 9 spacious tents that are positioned carefully to provide privacy and with minimal impact on the pristine forest environment. They accommodate two queen-size beds, and as it can get cool on the Ngorongoro Crater rim at night, little luxuries like warm winter-weight duvets, hot water bottles and gas heaters ensure a cosy night’s sleep. The roomy en-suite bathrooms contain a dressing area, flush toilet and a large safari-style shower.
The mess tent is beautifully furnished with grand sofas, lamps, bookshelves and corner cabinets in old wood, chests and rugs. In the evening, guests can gather around the campfire to exchange tales of the day’s safari followed by a sumptuous hearty meal.
Day 4 – Ngorongoro
Today you will have an early breakfast and then head down to the crater floor to spend the whole day game viewing and exploring this unique area. A hot lunch is provided whilst you are in the crater. (BLD)
Day 5 – Serengeti
After breakfast you will commence your journey to the Serengeti and your next camp. Arriving in time for lunch at the camp and then an afternoon game drive. (BLD)
Lemala’s Ewanjan Tented Camp is a deluxe seasonal camp with 10 beautiful suite tents set along the western slopes of Makoma Hill within the game-rich Seronera Valley in a secluded part of Central Serengeti. The camp offers breathtaking views of the Serengeti plains and its prolific wildlife, sunsets and sunrises.
The Seronera Valley is renowned for fantastic year-round game viewing due to abundance of residence cats. Between April and June and November through January the area receives the wildebeest migration, turning the area into an exciting wildlife paradise. All the popular game viewing areas of central, southern or western Serengeti are easily accessible from the camp but after a busy day guests are always delighted to return to the privacy and solitude that the camp offers.
Day 6 to Day 7 – Serengeti
You have two full days to enjoy the game viewing activities that are offered and if you are keen for an extra early morning adventure you could join a Balloon Safari (at extra cost) to experience the Serengeti at dawn from the air, this can be booked at the camp. (BLD)
