This nine day safari takes you deep into Botswana’s water-rich ecosystems. Cruise along the Chobe River, famous for its large elephant herds and abundant game and journey through the Okavango Delta’s expansive network of channels and islands, home to diverse wildlife and birdlife. Glide in a mokoro along tranquil waterways or head out on a game drive across the plains to encounter Botswana’s iconic wildlife. Trip itinerary

Day 1

Upon arrival at Kasane Airport, transfer to Chobe Game Lodge on the banks of the Chobe River for a two night stay. After lunch, begin your safari with an afternoon boat cruise or game drive. (LD)

2 nights Chobe Game Lodge.

Picturesquely situated 100 km west of the Victoria Falls, overlooking the Chobe River and the Caprivi floodplains, the iconic Chobe Game Lodge is the only permanent safari lodge within the Chobe National Park. The lodge accommodates up to 94 guests in absolute luxury. Rooms are river-facing, and include minibars, en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities as well as private terraces.

Day 2

Spend the day exploring the Chobe River area on game drives and river cruises, known for remarkable wildlife encounters and thriving birdlife. (BLD)

Day 3

Fly by light aircraft to Xugana Island Lodge in a remote Delta location for a three night stay. Drift down the winding channels by mokoro, explore by boat, and join guided walks across the island. The camp’s secluded setting adds a real sense of discovery as you explore the pristine wilderness. (BLD)

3 nights Camp Okavango.

Camp Okavango, a unique and exclusive African safari camp is situated on the remote Nxaragha Island. This hidden treasure, in the heart of the permanent Okavango Delta, assures its guests of an unparalleled year-round water wilderness experience.

Camp Okavango’s main area comprises of a network of interconnected walkways linking up two lounge areas, a dining room, library, self-service bar and curio shop. Sweeping ramps lead to the lower level deck with two open-air fire pits and comfortable seating areas to relax and take in the natural surroundings. There is a third deck with a rim flow swimming pool and thatched lounge deck for those warm summer days.

With its open air design and elevated position, the new Camp Okavango is an eco-sensitive lodge which captures the very essence of the Okavango Delta.

To ensure a peaceful and genuine safari experience, Camp Okavango accommodates just twenty-four guests. There are eleven intimate Safari suites and one Family suite consisting of two bedrooms and each with an en-suite bathroom. Each of the guest suites have been built on individual raised wooden platforms and set beneath the thick Okavango Delta vegetation. The en-suite bathrooms have double vanities, double shower and a separate water closet (with a view). The stack away sliding doors open onto a private open-air viewing deck offering beautiful views over the Okavango Delta.

Day 4 - 5

Enjoy two full days exploring this area of the Okavango Delta. (BLD)

Day 6

Transfer to Camp Moremi, nestled in Moremi’s wildlife-rich floodplains. Here, you will have the chance to experience both the mopane woodlands and waterways on game drives and boat excursions, with opportunities to observe a variety of wildlife along the way. (BLD)

3 nights Camp Moremi.

Camp Moremi has a well-deserved legacy in the Botswana tourism industry for being able to deliver the classic African safari experience. Recently rebuilt, Camp Moremi is located within Botswana’s world-renowned Moremi Game Reserve, situated on the edge of the Xakanaxa Lagoon in an area known for its spectacular game-viewing opportunities.

Camp Moremi boasts 12 expansive, modern styled thatched safari tents, including one family room, and accommodates a maximum of twenty-four guests. The family room which includes two separate bedrooms and bathrooms, connects through interleading doors. All standard tents are expansive with spacious bathrooms consisting of double vanities and showers, and private decks offering views over the Moremi Game Reserve. Subtle décor and lighting fixtures allow for a natural and warm atmosphere within each room to create a peaceful and harmonious blend with the surrounding environment.

Camp Moremi’s communal areas includes a sunken bar, masterfully built around a large termite mound and ebony tree, an expansive lounge area with beautiful brass and soft finishes, leading towards an extended library and private deck. These areas, including the elevated dining area, connects by boardwalk to the fireplace in front of the camp. In addition, an open air boma and secluded swimming pool complement the public area facilities.

Day 7 - 8

A further two full days exploring the Moremi Game Reserve. (BLD)

After breakfast, fly by light aircraft to Maun, where your safari ends. (B)
