Journey into the untamed wilderness of Botswana with African Bush Camps. Visit the Khwai River with its floodplains adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve, and the endless vistas of the Linyanti marsh, in a private concession bordering the Chobe National Park. Set in one of the remotest parts of Botswana, you will experience a magnificent area with big buffalo herds during the dry season and regular close encounters of unique wildlife species. It satisfies the avid bird watcher and offers outstanding game viewing opportunities.
Day 1 - Moremi Game Reserve
On arrival in Maun you will be met and transferred by light aircraft to your camp situated in the eastern section of Moremi, flying time is approximately 25 minutes. Please note that the luggage limit on light aircraft is 20kg in a soft sided bag. (D)
Khwai Tented Camp located on a semi-permanent site within this community-run concession on the eastern border of the Moremi Game reserve, on the banks of a lagoon flowing into the Khwai river, acts as a boundary between the reserve and the community area, offering visitors staying here several unique ways to experience Africa. Enjoy the spacious and comfortable tented accommodation, beds and private en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets and bucket showers under the stars.
Day 2 to Day 3 - Moremi Game Reserve
Enjoy two full days exploring the area with the scheduled activities or just relaxing at the camp. (BLD)
Day 4 - Chobe National Park
If time permits enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast. After check out of the camp you will be transferred to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to the Chobe enclave, flight time is approximately 40 minutes. (BLD)
On landing you will be transferred to your camp in time for lunch and then an afternoon game drive.
Bordering the western boundary of Chobe in the Chobe Enclave, Linyanti Bush Camp is an intimate 12-bedded tented camp on the banks of the Linyanti marshes in a private reserve. The area offers spectacular birding all year round and is best-known for its large herds of elephants. Activities from the camp include game drives, walking safaris, game viewing from hides, bird watching, boating and fishing safaris as well as guided mokoro safaris. The camp offers the perfect setting for an authentic and wild safari experience, boasting a great diversity of game and a peaceful atmosphere.
Day 5 to Day 6 - Chobe National Park
The next two days are for you to explore Chobe National Park with the scheduled activities or enjoy the facilities at the camp and relax. (BLD)
Day 7 - End of your African Bush Camp Safari
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Kasane, approximate flight time 60 minutes and your onward arrangements. (BLD)
