There are three 18-metre Chobe Princesses: one 5-suite vessel and two 4-suite vessels. Beautifully decorated in contemporary style, these suites make the most of their unbeatable river setting with large sliding windows giving you your own private view of the ever- changing landscapes before you. Located on the lower deck, the bedrooms are all en-suite. Climbing the stairs you reach the upper entertainment deck, where a spacious lounge and bar area encourages you to take time out and enjoy the incredible African vistas. There’s a plunge pool for refreshing dips and a relaxed open-air dining area. Days are highly flexible with the freedom to partake in whichever excursions or activities interest you.

Over 4 weeks 'safari' in Africa
Over 4 weeks 'safari' in Africa, all planned and booked with Bench's help, and not a glitch. Apparently, this is pretty unusual for anything in Africa! Their knowledge and expertise in providing an appropriate itinerary to match our needs (animals and scenery, not civilization) ,and in setting the appropriate expectations for our holiday, made for a very smooth and extremely enjoyable experience. There were 4 of us travelling in a group, which turned out to be optimal for virtually all aspects of the journey through Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania and Kenya (with a small break to finish in Zanzibar). The accommodation was perfect for our needs, well chosen to optimise our time in each location, with daily excursions focused on what we wanted to see. Thoroughly recommend.

The plan - all of the places Bench sent us to had their own individual style and character which provided a rich and diverse experience.
They provided expert advice on temperatures and clothing choices for each safari.
The timings recommended by Bench; I.e doing the Southern African safari first guaranteed that we would see some of the Wilder beast migration during our East African safari.
The first two camps in Botswana gave us a close up of the animals we had come to see, because they had private concessions which allowed the cars to go off-road.
Kadizora & Linyantee bush camps were both excellent, and the Chobe Princess was very relaxing and had excellent game viewing.
Flights between camps in the Southern safari really optimised our game drive time and worked well.
The two hotels in JBurg and the Royal Livingston were good.
All the camps in the East African safari were good and whilst the game viewing was on-road; Ngorongoro, Ambercelli, the Serengeti and Masi Mara all delivered great viewing.
Karen Blixon was the pick of the Eastern safari camps.

THis trip was amazing and so much better than I thought it would be. The standard of accommodation, food , service & organization was exceptional.
Highlights were the Nottens Bush Camp & staying on a houseboat on the Chobe River.

Day 1 - Chobe River
Met on arrival at Victoria Falls Airport and scheduled to Kasane Immigration where Botswana customs are cleared. Continue by boat to Impalila Island in order to clear Namibian immigration and customs. You will then board the Chobe Princess to enjoy a light lunch.(LD)
Accommodation: 2 nights Chobe PrincessSpend two nights on board the Chobe Princess in a twin cabin with en suite facilities on a full board basis, including local brand drinks, scheduled activities, park fees and limited laundry. Activities (guided game viewing by tender boat, guided fishing from well-equipped fishing boat, guided birding, a guided walk on Impalila Island to see the ancient Baobab tree or a visit to a local village on the Namibian side of the Chobe River (when available) + all fuel + all equipment hire (fishing rods, lures etc.) (Rights are reserved to charge for lost or damaged equipment) + all fishing licenses (if required) Enjoy an incredible African experience: the rivers, wildlife, fishing, sunsets as your days are spent exploring the waterways of the eastern Caprivi. Being on the river allows you to get close to the large variety of game including elephant, buffalo, giraffe, kudu, waterbuck and the shy Chobe bushbuck. Large troops of baboons are also on hand to provide plenty of entertainment with their riverside antics. Within the river itself, there are numerous hippos and crocodiles to add to the unending display of profuse wildlife that this region offers.
Day 2 - Chobe River
Enjoy some of the scheduled activities on offer that include game viewing by boat, fishing and a cultural village tour by mokoro. (BLD)
Day 3 - End of Chobe Princess Stay
Transfer by boat to Kasane Immigration clearing Namibian customs and immigration en route. Continue with a scheduled road transfer from Kasane Immigration to Victoria Falls Airport. This transfer takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and customs and immigration must be cleared en route at both the Botswana and Zimbabwe border posts. (B)
