    Day 1 - Ruaha National Park

    On arrival at Dar es Salaam Airport you will be transferred to your light aircraft flight from Dar es Salaam to Ruaha. (D)

    Accommodation: 3 nights Jongomero Camp.

    Under the magnificent shade trees, on the banks of a seasonal river in the remote southern sector of the Ruaha National Park, Jongomero is gloriously isolated. Far from the madding crowds, this secluded idyll offers a chance to discover true unadulterated wilderness. For guests seeking an authentic African adventure, a visit to Ruaha National Park is essential. Remembered for the rapids of the Great Ruaha River and its rugged landscape of undulating hills, rocky outcrops, and a horizon studded with the imposing silhouettes of the iconic baobab; no other park in Tanzania epitomises the definition of “wild Africa” quite like Ruaha. Accommodation at Jongomero comprises eight large and well-appointed tented suites, built on raised wooden platforms, under enormous thatched roofs that also encompass a spacious private veranda which overlooks the riverbed.
