Experience the thrill of being on safari, observing the ‘Big Five’ as well as zebras, giraffe and rhinos and be inspired by an authentically African atmosphere in the largest game reserve in South Africa. Kruger is larger than some small countries in Europe and is just less than two million hectares of conservation area. Enjoy game viewing before returning back to Johannesburg, where you will visit the Panorama Route and view Gods Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Three Rondavels – all part of the World Heritage Blyde River Canyon. The Blyde River Canyon is the third largest canyon in the world. As you follow the winding path, you have to stop and stare in wonder at the astonishing panoramic views below, as the sheer edges of the cliff drop down 800m into the river below.
Day 1 – Kruger National Park
Departing Johannesburg you make your way east through the coalfields of Mpumalanga. Your journey today follows in the footsteps of the old trade routes to the Lowveld and the Kruger National Park. Camp is set up at your base for the next three nights and enjoy a sundowner drive before being treated to some local dancing and dinner around the campfire tonight. (D)

Day 2 - Kruger National Park
This morning you enter the Kruger National Park for a full day of game viewing. Your activity package offers you the opportunity to explore the park in open game viewing vehicles, giving you access to areas the truck can’t always go. (BLD)

Day 3 - Kruger National Park
This morning you re-enter the Kruger National Park and spend the morning on a game drive in the Nomad truck. After your game drive, you exit the park and journey along the scenic Panorama where you will visit God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Three Rondavels. Return to camp in the early evening for dinner and a well-deserved rest. (BD)

Day 4 – End of Kruger 'Big Five' Tour
As is customary when on safari, you rise early this morning to enjoy a guided bush walk. Being in the bush on foot offers a unique opportunity to appreciate the smaller details of this great wilderness area. You arrive at Belvedere Estate in the late afternoon and all travellers are invited to join a traditional meal tonight, this can be booked with your guide on the day before arrival. Many great tales are shared and tonight presents an opportunity to join fellow travellers in celebrating the many wonders of African travel. (BL)
