Experience the thrill of being on safari, observing the ‘Big Five’ as well as zebras, giraffe and rhinos and be inspired by an authentically African atmosphere in the largest game reserve in South Africa. Kruger is larger than some small countries in Europe and is just less than two million hectares of conservation area. Enjoy game viewing before returning back to Johannesburg, where you will visit the Panorama Route and view Gods Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Three Rondavels – all part of the World Heritage Blyde River Canyon. The Blyde River Canyon is the third largest canyon in the world. As you follow the winding path, you have to stop and stare in wonder at the astonishing panoramic views below, as the sheer edges of the cliff drop down 800m into the river below.
Day 1 – Kruger National Park
Route: Johannesburg to Nkambeni Reserve (Greater Kruger) – 400km
Leaving the city of Johannesburg behind, you make your way east through the coalfields of Mpumalanga. Your journey today follows in the footsteps of the old trade-routes to the Lowveld and the Kruger National Park. Setting up camp at your base for the next three nights and then enjoy a lovely sundowner game drive. (LD)

Day 2 - Kruger National Park
This morning you enter the Kruger National Park for a full-day of game viewing in a 4×4 safari vehicle. (BLD)

Day 3 - Kruger National Park
As is customary when on safari, you will have the opportunity to rise early and enjoy a guided bush walk. Being in the bush on foot offers a unique opportunity to appreciate the smaller details of this great wilderness area. After your walk, you exit the park and journey along the scenic Panorama Route where we will visit God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Three Rondavels. Returning to camp in the evening to enjoy a lovely local dinner and dance. (BLD)

Day 4 – End of Kruger 'Big Five' Tour
You will enjoy your last drive through the park before setting off to Belvedere Estate. You will arrive at Belvedere Estate in the late afternoon and all travellers are invited to join together for a traditional meal tonight. This can be booked with your guide on the day before arrival. Many great tales are shared and tonight is for celebrating the many wonders of African travel. (BL)
