Amazing Africa

We very recently returned from our amazing family holiday to Kenya, Zanzibar and Egypt. Each country was uniquely different and beautiful. It truly was an adventure that we all loved. Our tour guides were all wonderful and full of local knowledge, the hotels were all beautiful, I only wish that we had more time to spend there! Everything went smoothly, we felt completely safe and most of all the kids were never bored!. This was definitely a holiday that we will remember forever.

    Day 1 – Cairo

    On arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

    Accommodation: 2 nights Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel.

    Standing on the site of the historic Semiramis Hotel, guests can enjoy modern luxury on the River Nile. This Cairo hotel features a 26 m2 rooftop pool and fine dining with exquisite cuisine for every taste. A selection of twelve restaurants and bars reflect contemporary design, with the Nile Terrace offering stunning views of the sunset over the Nile. Located in the heart of the city centre this hotel offers free Wi-Fi and is located next to the Egyptian Museum and bazaars of old Cairo.

    Day 2 – Cairo

    Today enjoy a guided full day tour with your Egyptologist to the ancient capital Memphis and burial ground of Sakkara. After lunch visit the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. (BL)

    The Great Pyramids of Giza are the only present-day survivors of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, they are among the world’s greatest tourist attractions and never lose their ability to inspire and overwhelm visitors. Enter the temple of the mysterious Sphinx, an ancient figure shrouded in legend and mystery. Your Egyptologist will enthrall you with the tales told of this fascinating figure.

    Day 3 - Nile Cruise

    Today you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for flight to Luxor. (BLD)

    Flight from Cairo to Luxor (Flight included).

    On arrival at Luxor Airport you will be met and transferred to your Nile Cruise boat. After lunch visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor.

    This morning visit the West Bank to explore the burial grounds in the Valley of the Kings and a stop at Queen Hapshepsut’s temple. Your afternoon is at leisure while the boat sails to Esna and crosses the Lock. (BLD)

    You will overnight on board the Sonesta St. George Cruise Ship near Esna.

    Day 5 - Nile Cruise

    Today visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the largest and most preserved. (BLD)

    You will overnight on board the Sonesta St. George Cruise Ship near Edfu.

    Day 6 - Nile Cruise
    Accommodation: Overnight in Aswan

    You will overnight on board the Sonesta St. George Cruise Ship near Aswan.

    Day 7 – Cairo

    After breakfast you will disembark the ship and transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight to Cairo. (B)

    Day 8 – Cairo

    Today enjoy a guided full day tour with your Egyptologist to the Egyptian Museum and the Old Cairo with its Citadel, Mosque and the ancient bazaar of Khan-el-Khalili. (BL)

    Your Egyptologist will escort you on a tour of 7,000 years of Egyptian history with a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which includes the world-famous golden treasures from King Tutankhamen‘s tomb.

    Day 9 - End of Nile Discoverer Tour

    This morning you will be met and transferred to Cairo Airport for your onward flight. (B)
