2018 is the Year of Women and we are reaching out to independent female adventurers who want to make tracks for wild Africa!
This ladies only tour gives you the opportunity to travel with like-minded companions, get off the beaten track and immerse yourself in nature. This intimate, authentic and eco-friendly wilderness camp is located in the Serengeti and has just 12 spacious canvas tents in camp. Experience a true bush experience at its best, with unrivalled wildlife viewing and excellent wildlife guiding over 6 adventure-filled days. In your tent you can expect comfortable beds, an en-suite bathroom and a bucket shower for that true safari experience.
Day 1 - Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Depart Arusha this morning and drive to Tarangire National Park for a game drive and picnic lunch. Continue to the highlands of Karatu, stopping to view Manyara and the escarpment below from above. (LD)
Bougainvillea Lodge is located on the outskirts of Karatu town about midway between Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Each of the 24 cosy rooms have mosquito-netted king or twin beds, a fireplace, large bathroom with shower and a veranda from which to enjoy the views of our lush tropical gardens. Triples are possible with prior notice and two of the cottages can be used as family suites, with connecting rooms.
Day 2 - Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast you will drive into the Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing and a picnic lunch. The crater covers over 250 sq kms of land and is the home to the rare black rhino, lion, elephant, cheetah and great herds of buffalo, antelope and wildebeest. (BLD)
Day 3 - Serengeti National Park
This morning depart for the Serengeti National Park. A picnic lunch is taken while enjoying the game viewing. (BLD)
Serengeti Wilderness Camp is designed in the safari style of old – simple, but comfortable with every need being taken care of. Each camp comprises of only 10 tents, each comfortably furnished with quality linens, solar lighting, eco-friendly flush toilet and shower en-suite. Sumptuous meals are prepared by friendly safari chefs, and are served in the dining tent, or directly under the stars. Inside the spacious safari vehicle, with game viewing hatches that allow 360 degree views, you will find a selection of reference books on Tanzania’s parks, history, its flora and fauna, and a cool-box or fridge for drinks.
Day 4 to Day 5 - Serengeti National Park
Spend your days exploring the park on game drives. Here you may have the opportunity of booking an optional balloon safari (at own expense). (BLD)
Day 6 - End of Serengeti Wilderness Tour
Today you will be transferred to the Serengeti Airstrip for your flight to Arusha. (BL)
