This unbeatable wild elephant sanctuary is known for its large herds of elephant and the Somalisa Concession in Hwange National Park offers you private wildlife encounters from the minute you step out of your tent. Somalisa having only 12 beds has been designed as an environmentally low impact camp giving you a barefoot luxury experience with understated elegance. Positioned alongside is Somalisa Acacia, a charming camp catering for only eight guests with three twin bedded en-suite tents, a family tent, dining and lounge areas. The simple but luxurious tents are on slightly raised decks, enjoying private views of a small waterhole, frequented by large herds of big game including buffalo, elephant, kudu, zebra, giraffe, and even lion. Children from 7 years are welcome.

Awesome holiday. Awesome company to deal with.

Our family has just returned from the most amazing holiday organised by the wonderful people at Bench Africa.

In the beginning, my wife and I had absolutely no idea about where to go and what to do. We were also traveling with our two children (aged 11 and 13) so it was important to us that the trip was safe and planned to take their ages into account.

Julie from Bench Africa took exceptional care of us and planned the whole trip in meticulous detail. She took the time to understand what we wanted to experience and planned the most amazing itinerary for our family. It wasn’t until we were in the midst of our African adventure that we understood the time and effort that Julie and the staff had gone to.

Bench Africa didn’t just plan us a holiday, they planned us an experience. One that we will always remember.

    Day 1 - Hwange National Park

    On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport you will be transferred by road to Hwange National Park. This transfer takes approximately 2 hours. At the entrance to the Park, you will be met by a representative from Somalisa Camp and continue with your game drive transfer through the Hwange National Park to the camp. (D)

    Accommodation: Somalisa Camp.

    Enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing activities. (BLD)

    Day 3 - End of Somalisa Camp Stay

    Game drive transfer to the Hwange National Park gate to meet your scheduled road transfer to Victoria Falls Airport. This transfer takes approximately 2 hours. (B)
