Day 1 - Tarangire National Park
This morning depart by road from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for a picnic lunch and game drive. (LD)
Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge is situated on a panoramic sight on the outskirts of Tarangire National Park, with one of Tanzania’s most spectacular views, encompassing acacias and baobabs, plentiful of wildlife and the Tarangire River. The lodge consisting of 21 tents placed on wooden stilts and shadowed by makuti roofs. Each tent features a wide outdoor veranda with 2 chairs and a little table, en-suite bathroom with shower and a separate imaginative bath-tub.
Day 2 - Tarangire National Park
Spend the day exploring Tarangire National Park. (BLD)
Day 3 - Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Depart Tarangire after early breakfast and head to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing and a picnic lunch. Continue to Ngorongoro and overnight in a private mobile camp. (BLD)
Nothing can be compared to the experience of camping in the heart of the African bush. The sounds of the night, the light of the sunset, the tales around the camp fire under the blanket of stars.
Day 4 - Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Enjoy a full day game drive in the crater with a picnic lunch. Return to camp for dinner and overnight. (BLD)
Day 5 - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast drive through the hilly landscape and onto the plains of the Serengeti. On the way make a stop at Ol’Duvai Gorge, sight of the famous archaeological finds by the Leakey family. Here in the ‘cradle of mankind’ the skull of a human was found, believed to be the oldest ever at 1.75 million years of age. Arrive at your Camp in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. (BLD)
Kati Kati Tented Camp’s a mobile tented camp located in Central Serengeti, strategically located to cover the vast Serengeti Plains. The camp offers comfortable accommodation and a unique opportunity to enjoy a real safari camp experience. The camp is only a two hour scenic drive from Ol’Duvai Gorge and the Grumeti River. With 10 meru style safari tents that perfectly blend into their surrounding habitat. The rooms are comfortable with the option of having a double or twin bedded tent, and an en-suite bathroom. A cosy mess tent is located in the centre of the camp where meals are served. The campfire is ready every evening for appetizers and snacks before dinner.
Day 6 - Serengeti National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park. (BLD)
Day 7 - End of Tanzania Under Canvas
After breakfast you will be transferred to Arusha by road or take an optional flight at an additional cost. (BL)
