1. Lyndal | Africa Expert - You are going to have to book earlier this year!

Africa has really taken off this year. South Africa especially is such a great value destination right now that Aussies are flocking over in their droves.

Availability for the more popular destinations is starting to get a bit scarce, and there are already properties that have completely booked out for 2018 (can you believe it?) so please get in touch with us as early as you can! Why not get the ball rolling now, and something on hold with us?

We don't want you to miss out!

2. James | Africa Expert - Don't be Afraid to Travel in Shoulder Season

Travel in the shoulder season means discounted rates, with a more exclusive safari experience due to lower tourist numbers.

In theory, the downside of going on safari at this time of year, aside from unpredictable weather, and the possibility of afternoon rain showers is that finding wildlife can be a little more tricky. When it does rain though it brings an explosion of colour, plant life, babies animals, and migrating birds which makes for a truly special safari and amazing photographs.

3. Maria | Africa Expert - Why not self drive in Africa?

In South Africa and Namibia you have the option of self-driving.

Not only is this is a safe option in these countries but it's also a brilliant way to keep down costs AND you can travel at your own pace, stopping to take in the wonders whenever the mood takes you!

I did a self-drive in Namibia and would highly recommend it. I never once felt unsafe and loved the freedom it gave me to see and do what I wanted to.

4. Karen | Africa Expert - You have to see East Africa!

While you'll undoubtedly arrive in East Africa accompanied by your own visions of what it will be like, you can be sure that your expectations will be blown out of the water by the diversity and vibrancy of the region. From the quintessential grasslands of the Kenyan savannah to the lush jungles and tea plantations of Uganda, you will be awestruck at the variety this exceptional corner of the world offers.

5. Julie | Africa Expert - Look out for our Africa special offers

Budget conscious travellers should keep an eye on the website or our Facebook page for our Bench Africa special offers.

Or, of course you can just speak to our Africa experts who know all our special offers and will be able to recommend an itinerary which offers excellent value for money thanks to free night offers, discounted rates, or other value-adds that we have negotiated for our clients.
