Wishing you all a fun-filled Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!
2017 has been an absolutely incredible year for Africa travel! We had a record year and introduced thousands to the magic of Africa. Some of you returned to the continent for a second, third or even fourth time. And with a continent as large and diverse as Africa who can blame you?
New Year resolutions are imminent and whilst you ponder your own, perhaps Africa travel should feature at the top of your list this year.
If you choose to travel to Africa with Bench Africa we can show you the magnificent ‘Big Five’ and the endangered mountain gorillas, give you the opportunity to witness the great wildebeest migration or the majesty of Victoria Falls. We can introduce you to the vibrant people and cultures of Africa and what's even better is that your travel can contribute to local communities, as well as wildlife conservation programs.
We hope you have a truly wonderful Christmas and New Year and we look forward to sending you to a new corner of the African continent in 2018.
Christmas is a magical time of year, when families and friends get together to create new memories and traditions. The spirit of Christmas involves sharing quality moments, or even just celebrating the silly season in your own unique way. A Christmas safari in Africa is nothing if not unique!
The festive season is a wonderful time to create these new memories, traditions and, as we at Bench Africa like to say... disconnect to reconnect. Share completely unforgettable moments on a game drive, see the kids' faces light up when they catch their first glimpse of a giraffe or when they hear the sound of a lion roar. It's certainly a Christmas that they would never forget! Here at Bench we have some varied family friendly safaris on offer. Our specialty is in tailor making these experiences to suit you and your clan so please speak to one of our Africa experts and we can make sure that you get the very best value out of your experience.
And in the meantime, make sure that each household is stocked with a bottle of Amarula for that cheeky Christmas tipple! Amarula is a native cream liqueur of South Africa that is made with sugar, cream and the fruit of the African Marula tree (also called the Elephant Tree). It is a delicious smooth blend of fresh marula fruit, a long and velvety palate with a finish that is perfectly smooth. Swap it out for the traditional Christmas Baileys, and add a touch of Africa to your festivities!

Here are some Feel-Good Fun Christmas Videos from the Wilds of Africa
This Safari Collection Christmas video was recorded in Kenya by Kenyan musician Maia Von Lekow, and we think it's wonderful!
Because they are so afraid of lions, Santa's reindeer refuse to pull his sleigh to South Luangwa... Not to be deterred though, he hops on his bike, pedals furiously, and somehow manages to make an early visit to bring presents to all his friends at the Bushcamp Company.
